I was wondering if either Bet365 or Paddy Power have a real money poker app. I know both have video poker games that you can play from your mobile but there doesn't appear to be any Texas Hold'em or Omaha apps?

Am I looking in the wrong place?

    Hi Spud Gun

No, at the time of writing neither Bet365 or Paddy Power offer their poker playes a poker app of any description. This is because they are part of a network called iPoker, who provide them with their poker sofware/clients and iPoker have yet to develop a poker app. These gambling giants just add their own logo's and skins to customize the iPoker software. As soon as iPoker are ready to release a mobile poker app that will work on their network, it will be available to Bet365 and Paddy Power players.

The iPoker network is home to some very big online poker rooms, such as William Hill, Winner, Titan Poker, Masion Poker, Chili Poker and Boyle Poker, so it is only a matter of time before they release a poker app.

UPDATE: Yes Bet365 now have an iPhone and iPad compatible poker app.

DOWNLOAD & INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR BET365 MOBILE POKER
    1. Obviously you will need to create an account first at poker.bet365.com if you do not have one already.
    2. In order to offer their app in as many countries as possible, Bet365 have opted to circumvent the Apple App Store approval process by developing an app that is web based. This means that you won't find it in App Store. Instead just open the Safari browser of your iPhone or iPad and type in poker.bet365.com and login using the credentials you created in step one

Android and Windows Phone versions are currently in development. Stay tuned for updates.

In terms of mobile sports betting I think Paddy Power leads the way so I'm a little surprised they haven't been pushing a little harder for a poker app. They are the only sportsbooks to offer a dedicated app for iPad's and Blackberry's.

I'm pretty sure that as soon as the iPoker app is ready it will be released by Paddy Power first.

Bet365 have just launched a speed poker format called Zoom Poker. I think they offer the best mobile sports betting app so I'd love it they also released a version of Zoom Poker for the iPad and iPhone.

Great, but how do I download and install the Bet365 poker app? I can't find it on iTunes? Is it available in the United Kingdom?

You don't install anything since the app is played via the Safari browser. It's very simple to get up and running if you follow these instructions...
    1. Visit Bet365 Poker and sign-up either from your desktop or mobile device.
    2. Then from you iOS or Android phone just browse to poker.bet365.com and login.

I got a new Android tablet as a Christmas so I'd like to try the new Bet 365 poker app but I don't see any mention of an Android version on their website? Can anyone help?

No, at the moment Bet365 Poker Mobile is only compatible with iPhone and iPad. Many poker rooms release iOS versions of their poker clients first because Apple devices basically all have similar screen dimensions so they're easier to develop and test. Once they're happy with now the poker apps work on the iPhone/iPad they generally set about developing apps for the more fragmented Android phone and tablet market.

We contacted Bet365 and were told that an Android version was in development and should be available in the first half of 2014.

Since the Bet365 Poker app is web based and doesn't need to be installed from iTunes, I'm wondering if it work in the United States?

No, Bet365 is currently not open to US poker players or sports bettors in the United States. For the most up-to-date list of United States poker apps, visit our poker page http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/poker.html

Is there a Bet365 Android poker app for devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6, Google Nexus or HTC One?

We've spoken with our Bet365 contact and they told us that a native Bet365 Android poker app will be released in the second half of 2014. They also informed us that the html5 version for iOS can also be played from the Chrome browser of most Droids.

i find it really surprising that paddy power have not developed their own poker app for iphone and android yet. when it comes to anything mobile they tend to be one of the first companies to release apps. when i got my first ipad they were the only bookmaker to have developed betting sofware specifically for the apple tablet. i also use their new text betting messenger app which nobody else has on offer.

does anyone know why it is taking so long for them to release a texas hold'em app?

Hey Timmy, yes I agree. Considering Paddy Powers reputation for being mobile innovators, it is quiet strange that they haven't bothered to release a Paddy Power iPhone or Android poker app. Part of this is probably due to the fact that they're part of the iPoker Network so the responsibility for developing mobile software lies with them. Paddy Power basically just add their skin to the poker client provided by iPoker.

Having said that, the iPoker Network did release iOS and Android poker software in the second half of 2014. Other online poker rooms like Bet365 and Ladbrokes quickly released mobile versions of their poker clients utilising the new technology so it's quiet strange that Paddy Power haven't done so yet.

The first version of the Bet365 poker app could only be played from the browser of an Android, iPhone or iPad. An installable version is now available that can be downloaded from the iOS App Store. Unfortunately, like most real-money gambling apps, you will only be able to find it in the app store if you live Australia, Russia and certain European countries. Otherwise you can just continue playing using the Instant Play poker app.

I'm hoping that PaddyPower are developing their own mobile poker software. Otherwise they would be using the app from the iPoker Network already like Ladbrokes and Bet365 are. I'm always slight disappointed when an online poker rooms just adds their logo and colour scheme to poker software that's already being used by other sites.

If it is taking Paddy Power this long to release a poker app I think there's a good chance that they're developing their own mobile poker software. Otherwise they would have simply released the iPoker app with their skin on it by now. We've seen from their PaddyPower Messenger app that they prefer to develop their own apps in-house rather than rely on third-party software.
