Due to a high number of companies we no longer recommend UniBet Poker. We recommend you try one of these real money poker apps. http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/mobile-poker.html

We admire the fact that Unibet have developed their own iOS and Android poker app rather than simply put a skin over an existing piece of mobile software. What you get is a real-money poker app that is completely unique to Unibet.

No, at the moment you can play the app from the Safari browser of any iOS device. The Unibet Android poker app is available in virtually every country with the exception of the USA, so if you have access to a phone or tablet running the Android OS, you could use that to play Unibet poker in Ireland.

what I like about Unibet poker is you don't need to make a big deposit in order to claim their new players bonus. instead they've linked the bonus to rake and how much you play over the first 60 days. if you're very active you stand a good chance of collecting the full €500.

We think the Unibet poker app is perfect for beginner players. The graphics are fun and if you complete the "missions" you will receive special rewards. As you'd expect the competition is quiet soft so it's not a bad place to earn a few easy dollars too.

While there are plenty of weak players I don't agree that it's a shark friendly site. Unibet appear to have gone to great lengths to make it as welcoming to newbie players as possible. For instance, users are allowed to create multiple player profiles which they can switch between whenever you like. This means that if you had a bad day at the real money tables, you can switch identities so that you won't be recognized by poker sharks.

Also, since you are seated automatically it makes it difficult for experienced players to browse though different tables to find the fishiest players.

I'm not a huge fan of the achievement and missions but I can see that they are designed to help new players learn more about internet poker and how to use the various features the app has to offer so they are definitely useful for newbies.

What is the player traffic like at unibet? If they're not part of a major network I'm guessing there's not a lot of actions beyond the low and micro-stakes tables.

We'd describe Unibet as a medium-traffic poker network. You'll find plenty of action at the low and mid stakes tables and the tournaments tend to be quiet busy too. While Unibet may not be a major gambling brand in the UK, Australia, Canada or Ireland, they are one of the biggest betting companies operating in Belgium and most Scandinavian countries.

this is a great app for recreational players but for serious grinders I'd look elsewhere.

No. Unibet have chosen to focus primarily on recreational poker players who like to play from iOS or Android tablets.

If you play Unibet mobile poker you can now win real money prizes just for finishing your missions and challenges. There's also a new quick seat lobby that lets you join the action in seconds.
