I was delighted to read in this article that Siri can now answer sports related questions but it does specify exactly which sports. The article mentions basketball, baseball and american football but can Siri also give betting odds and results on golf, cricket, soccer, horse racing, rugby or boxing etc.

Hopefully Apple did not forget about their European customers who have little interest in U.S. sports.

Siri can currently only answer questions relating to American football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and ice hockey. Unfortunately, the personal assistant isn't able to answer any questions yet relating to boxing, Australian rules, GAA, darts, horse racing or snooker but I'm sure I friends in Cupertino are working on it as we speak :)

Does anyone know if Siri can answer sports betting questions on any additional sports since this feature was launched?

Can siri answer horse racing questions? I'd be surprised if it could answer questions about United Kingdom or Irish racing but maybe it could answer questions on United States racing.

No, at present Siri cannot answer horse race betting questions like it can with other major U.S. sports. To test the application I asked it some basic horse racing questions like "When is the Cheltenham Racing festival in 2014?" and "Which racetrack hosts the Kentucky Derby?". Unfortunately, Siri was only able to offer either web searches or Wikipedia pages rather than definitive answers.

I found it quiet useful for the Super Bowl this year between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. I was at a Super Bowl party and anytime there was a dispute over team stats or player profiles, Siri was able to resolve the dispute.

Yes, Siri is like a modern day Guinness Book of Records when it comes to resolving silly pub arguments.

Here is an interesting article on the use of Apple Siri for sports betting. There's a YouTube video demo at the end of the article that's worth a watch too.

Hopefully Apple will also integrate Siri into their Apple Watch. Being able to ask your iWatch for betting advice would be a really useful feature.

The Google Now assistant on Android is pretty good at answering sports betting questions now although it doesn't support horse racing either.
