CloudBet is one of the most popular bitcoin sportsbook apps. While many bitcoin gambling websites have focused exclusively on casino gaming, CloudBet have managed to also developed an impressive sports betting site to rival the major online bookmakers. CloudBet mobile also works on any smartphone, including the iPhone 6, Microsoft Lumia 535 or Samsung Galaxy S6. Here are the key features of the latest CloudBet bitcoin app...

    • Extremely well designed betting app that looks just as good at Bet365 and William Hill.
    • No need to provide passport, drivers license or utility bills for identity verification. Anonymous betting.
    • On major markets (NFL, English Premier League, NBA etc.) maximum bets of up to 50 BTC.
    • Compatible with iOS, BlackBerry, Android or Windows Phone devices.
    • Deposits and Payouts happen almost instantly. There are no long waits for your payout.
    • Lines offered on every major US and European sport, including basketball, football, soccer, rugby, Australian Rules, boxing, golf, cricket and many more.
    • Zero payment processing costs means more money in your betting account.

We love CloudBet but we'd love to hear what you think?

It's nice to see bitcoin move beyond casino games and into sports betting. Does CloudBet offer in-play betting too? What about parlays?

How safe and secure are these bitcoin online casinos? How do I know that someone won't hack their servers and steal all my bitcoin?

There is no doubt that security is an issue when choosing bitcoin gambling apps because if the site gets hacked and your bitcoin is stolen there is no way to retrieve it. Thankfully most bitcoin bookmakers like CloudBet take precautions that now make it virtually impossible to steal bitcoin. Firstly, the bulk of sports bettors bitcoins are stored in cold storage. This means that the machines are offline making the servers impossible to hack. You can also enable 2-step authentication, so even if someone manages to crack your password, they will still be unable to access your bitcoin.

easily my favorite crypto bookmaker because of their high betting limits. on the "big four" major U.S. sports you can wager up to 50.0 BTC, which is huge. i've had to wait a few hours for a couple of big payouts but smaller withdrawals of less than 1 bitcoin generally process instantly.

Actually, they've now increased their limits for high-rollers. According to their website they now allow stakes of up to 200 BTC on NHL, NBA and European soccer games.

i presume none of these bitcoin bookmakers report any big wins to the IRS? for professional gamblers it makes a lot of sense to win tax free bets.

Most of them are based off-shore so I doubt they have any contact with the Internal Revenue Service. You just need to be careful when you are converting you winnings from bitcoin to dollars that a large amounts of unexplained money doesn't appear in your checking account. It's probably best to use one of the ATM and just spend the dollars rather than deposit them in your bank account. Alternatively Expedia now accepts bitcoin so you could use your sportsbook account balance to purchase flights and hotel rooms.

Coinbase and Circle are two of the biggest US based bitcoin wallets. Due to strict regulations neither company accepts bitcoin deposits from wallets that are linked to online gambling. We recommend that you use an intermediately wallet like those available from Blockchain.info or Bread Wallet before making a deposit at Circle or Coinbase.

i can see there are advantages to bitcoin gambling for sports bettors in the united states but what about for punters in the UK? why would i switch from ladbrokes or william hill to a bitcoin bookmaker?

Bitcoin bookmakers can often offer much better odds because they don't have the overhead credit card processing and KYC costs.

why would i use a bitcoin betting site like nitrogen or cloudbet when betonline and bovada now accept bitcoin also?

Maybe you would like to remain anonymous. If you want to make a bitcoin withdrawal, sportsbooks like Bovada and BetOnline will still put you through a KYC process.

Bitcoin sportsbooks that ONLY accept BTC never ask you to provide any form of identification.

Cloudbet or Nitrogen Sports? Which sportsbook is better?

It really is down to personal preference. They both offer similar lines so I guess it comes down to which design you prefer. It terms of popularity I think Nitrogen Sports has a slight edge right now.

  19. CloudBet can be a little slow to grade games in lower leagues so if you are someone that expects an instant payout then maybe bovada or nitrogen is a better fit for you.
