I just read this thread about how Bovada Poker have been offering real money poker games to iPhone and iPad users in the United States for the past couple of months. I don't see any mention of mobile poker on their website though?

Is this still the only U.S. iPhone poker app or have some of the other U.S. friendly rooms started offering iOS/Android poker?

UPDATE: THERE ARE NOW 2 OPTIONS FOR US PLAYERS

WWW.BETONLINE.AG - BetOnline accept US players and offer cash games, poker tournaments and Sit N Go's on iOS and Android.

WWW.BOVADA.LV - The newly upgraded Bovada mobile poker client finally includes. You can pay ring games, speed poker and Sit N Go on any iOS or Android device providing you live in the United States.

Hey, yes Bovda (called Bodog in Canada) is still the only real money poker site that is compatible with iOS and Android phones. They're a pretty good option because they're fully licensed and regulated in Canada so you know your funds are safe. They also have a very good reputation for fast deposits and withdrawals. You won't find Bocada Poker is the App Store as it is a browser based web app that doesn't need to be installed. To play mobile poker at their site you'll just need to....

HOW TO DOWNLOAD & INSTALL THE BOVADA POKER APP IN THE UNITED STATES
    1. Create a new player account at Bovada
    2. From your iPhone's Safari browser or Android's Chrome browser visit their site and you'll automatically be redirected.

Windows Phone and BlackBerry users may get a message to say that their browser isn't fully compatible, although we've never experienced any problems when we've tested the client using a variety of phones and tablets. If you experience any problems on your Nokia Lumia or Z10 we would recommend you download either the Chrome or Safari browser apps which are fully supported.

Great news but can you give me a little bit more information about this USA poker app? Can I play tournaments (Sit & Go or Multi-Table) and high speed poker on my iPhone/Droid?

Also, can I deposit money using a Visa/Mastercard issued by a bank in New York or California?

Yes, the Bovada Poker app currently supports a fast fold poker format similar to Full Tilt Rush Poker and PokerStars Zoom. Tournaments are not available right now but we're told they'll be available on phones and tablets in the next couple of months.

Regardless of whether you live in Boston, Chicago, Delaware, Washington or Los Angeles, you can make deposit at Carbon via Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, Bank Transfer or Skrill.

Their mobile sportsbook app is pretty awesome too and works on any type of smartphone. U.S. casino gamers can also enjoy playing slots, roulette, video poker and blackjack for real money on any type of iOS, Nokia, BlackBerry or Windows Phone device.

Good news if you live in the U.S. and you've been dying to play Omaha on your iOS, Android or Windows Phone devices. Bovada and Bodog Poker now offer both Texas Hold'em and Omaha cash games on virtual any phone or tablet.

What happens if I'm in the middle of a Sit and Go tournaments and my phone or tablet looses it's network connection?

According to their FAQ section Sit and Go players will be folded if they lose their network connection and blinds will be paid automatically until they can reestablish a connection and return to the tournament.

Do Bovada Poker accept bitcoin? Since I live in Boston it would be easier transfer bitcoin than use my American Express credit card.

No, Bodava Mobile Poker does not currently accept the Bitcoin peer-to-peer currency. At the moment you can only make a quick deposit using Visa, Skrill/Moneybookers or via Cash Transfer. In our experience the money is usually in the account within 5 minutes even if you are based in the United States.

Switch Poker accepts the Bitcoin crypto-currency but unfortunately they are not US-friendly.

if i use a vpn can i play the pokerstars iphone or android app in the united states?

Yes you can use a VPN service but we would not recommend. PokerStars track VPN IP ranges and regularly freeze players accounts who are using these services to bypass any geo-location restrictions.

There seems to be a lot of excitement that PokerStars plan to return to the US in 2015. Unfortunately, they will only be able to operate in the state of New Jersey initially. Amaya CEO, David Baazov, says that they expect to launch between the end of June and the start of September 2015 depending on the granting of their license.

If you live in NJ then I'd recommend the PartyPoker app. When they launched the app in the US it was very underwhelming but I think it has improved significantly over the past year. They've added a much better selection of Sit and Go and Scheduled tournaments and most of the geo-location issues have now been ironed out. Of course once the PokerStars app is finally available I'll be switching over to that.

A growing number of bitcoin gambling sites now offer real-money poker on desktops or smartphones. Because bitcoin usage is still very limited most mobile poker websites have very low traffic. BetCoin is the exception because they are part of the relatively high-traffic Winning Poker Network. Since bitcoin poker will probably become popular with US-based player, we've started this new thread where players can discuss the pros and cons of the latest bitcoin mobile poker software http://forums.iphonebettingapps.com...est-Bitcoin-poker-sites-for-iPhone-or-Android

bitcoin poker rooms should pool their traffic to make their rooms more attractive. at the moment there rarely seems to be more than a few dozen active players at the tables.

Actually both of the bitcoin poker rooms we recommend in this bitcoin poker thread are part of larger networks. One belongs to the Winning Poker Network, while the other is part of the InstaDeal poker network. There's no shortage of players at low to medium stakes tables any time of the day or night.
