I know it's not one of the most biggest sports in the world but it is still quiet popular in the United Kingdom and Ireland so I was wondering what the best iOS and Android app are for watching or betting on dog racing?
Greyhound racing is often overlooked by many bookmakers and is given far less attention than horse racing despite the sports massive popularity in Ireland, the United Kingdom and worldwide. We've taken a look at a number of greyhound racing apps and these are our favourites. GREYHOUND NEWS & INFORMATION - RACING POST GREYHOUND BET Anyone familiar with the Racing Post's excellent horse racing app will be thrilled at the prospect of having a similar app for greyhound racing. The good news is their free Greyhound Bet app is every bit as good as the horse racing app. It offers dog racing news, form guides, statistics, racing results and racecards (detailing each runner, the trap number, SP forecast and expert opinions). Did we mention this app is free? Greyhound Bet for Android, iPhone and iPas is a must have. http://www.racingpost.com/mobile/greyhound-bet-web-app/ WATCH UK GREYHOUND RACING AT CORAL MOBILE - WWW.CORAL.CO.UK Coral are a UK based bookmakers with a strong focus on dog racing. Their iPhone, Android and iPad apps are one of the only bookmaker apps that offer live streams of dog racing from the United Kingdom. In our opinion Bet365 offer by far the best service for greyhounds racing fans. Here are a few reason why we think their app is the best. No, I think the £1 wagering requirement is standard if you want to watch a particular race. The good new is racing commentary is free to listen too on William Hill from your phone or tablet. Meeting from all over the UK and Ireland are covered, including Wimbledon, Perry Barr, Hall Green, Belle Vue, Crayford, Kinsley, Sheffield, Shawfield, Sunderland, Nottingham, Romford and Swindon. The audio commentary also provides betting tips and advice for anyone hoping to make some money.
Do the UK bookmakers also live stream greyhound racing from racetracks in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or the United States?
Fans of Irish greyhound racing can now watch live races and replays thanks to a new app that's been developed by the Irish Greyhound Board called Barking Buzz. The app is completely free to download and use and it covers every major dog track in the Republic of Ireland, including Harold's Cross, Shelbourne Park, Limerick, Tralee and Clonmel. In addition to live streams, the app also offers news, race cards, forms guides and TOTE betting. The iOS version is available on the iTunes App Store https://itunes.apple.com/ie/app/barking-buzz/id664659974?mt=8 . Users of Android handsets (HTC, Motorola, Sony Xperia, Samsung Galaxy etc.) can download the apk install file directly from the IGB site http://www.igb.ie/apps We've created a seperate thread about this new Barking Buzz app and we'd love to hear your feedback http://forums.iphonebettingapps.com...g-on-your-phone-with-the-new-Barking-Buzz-app
I have this app from the Irish Greyhound Board installed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab but I haven't been able to find the equivalent iOS app for my iPhone 6. It's pretty good for studying the form on upcoming races and keeping up-to-day on the latest news and gossip.
I think that old Irish Greyhound Board Android app has now been replaced by the Barking Buzz app. It contains all the same dog racing info as the old app, including results, news, form guides, racing gossip and information on racetracks throughout Ireland.
I've discovered that if you want to watch live racing from any of the RPGTV dog tracks you need to place a qualifying bet of £1 with Coral while Bet365 live stream from those racetracks for free providing you have an active account, which basically means you just need to have a few pounds deposited in your account. The Racing Post Greyhound TV racetracks are... Romford Sunderland Monmore Green Crayford Henlow Peterborough Newcastle Hove
It's worth remembering that live commentary if available from every greyhound track in Ireland and the UK with the Bet365 app. Just select the speaker icon on the top right corner of each race page.
For Australian dog racing we would recommend TheDogs.com.au website. They also have a mobile compatible version of the site that works pretty good on iOS and Android. The browser based app features Australian greyhound news, results, fields and there's even a Dogs TV section where you can watch replays of many Australian greyhound races on your smartphone.
