I'm not asking for personal preference here, I'm just wondering which of current iphone sports betting apps is actually the most popular? I'm guessing that Bet365, William Hill and Paddy Power must be in the top 10 and maybe Unibet and Bwin also. How popular are sportsbook apps in the United States?

A survey was carried out in the United Kingdom recently to find out which bookmaker had the most popular betting app. The study discovered that even though William Hill was the most downloaded app, the Bet365 app was used more frequently. In our opinion Bet365 have developed the top bookie app and here's why...

    BET365 MOBILE - WWW.BET365.COM
    • In our tests it was compatible with ANY internet-enabled phone. No download needed, just create an account and then browse to Bet365 on your phone.
    • We love watching thousands of sporting events live every month on your handset, including live streams of basketball, soccer/football, tennis (French Open & Wimbledon), golf, ice hockey, rugby league, darts, badminton, hockey, volley ball and more.
    • We love to listen to live commentary of many Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and other matches on your phone. Pitch visualizations also available so you can follow the action in real-time.
We've just touched on a few point there but you can find a full review of Bet365 Mobile on our site here http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/bet365-mobile.html

    BEST USA SPORTSBOOK APP

For legal reasons, many of the big European gambling companies do not operate in the United States of America. Because of this, sports fans in the US are limited to a handful of mobile sportsbooks that accept U.S. players. In our opinion the top 3 are Carbon Sports, Bovada and BetOnline . We think Bovada have a clear edge over the competition and here's why...

    BOVADA USA SPORTS - WWW.BOVADA.LV
    • Works on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Nokia Lumia, BlackBerry Z30, Sony Xperia, Motorola, HTC and just about any type of smartphone you can think off.
    • Bodog and Bovada Mobile offers by far the best layout and design and offers many of the same features you will find on the Bet365, PaddyPower, William Hill or Ladborkes apps.
    • Horse racing fans are also well catered for. Bovada Racing is the only full mobile racebook for U.S. citizens. You can get odds, study form and place bets on every harness and thoroughbred race in the United States.
    • Both new and existing customer get a free $25 dollar bet when they place their first bet via their mobile site.
    • There is no download required. Just sign-up with Bodog Sports and follow the instructions.

Again, we've only summaries a few of the key benefits here. For a more in-depth information, read our full review here http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/bovada-mobile-us.html

That is kinda surprising considering there are so few Paddy Power betting shops in the United Kingdom compared to the like of Ladbrokes and William Hill who must have thousands of shops. I'm guessing Paddy Power probably only have a few hundred shops.

It doesn't really surprise me. The vast majority of sports bettors using iPhone apps are probably in their 30's and 40's. Paddy Power have certainly spent more time courting younger customers. Their viral advertisments will attract a lot of tech savey youngsters than bricks and mortar betting shops.

I think on the continent Bwin are quiet popular. Paddy Power are basically only know in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Bwin are huge in Germany, France, Austria, Spain and Scandinavia etc. Not sure if their app is up to much though. Don't think I've ever seen anyone use it.

Now that Bwin are the official sponsor of Manchester United I'm sure they will become more popular in the United Kingdom and Asia where Man U are huge!

I think it depend largely on which sports you are into. If you are a big horse racing fan then you're probably going to use the William Hill or Paddy Power app because they both offer excellent UK and Irish horse race betting offers. The Racing Post also provides exclusive racing stats and news to both bookmakers which can be accessed via their app.

For general sports betting I think Bet365 is probably the most popular because they stream live soccer, tennis, darts, basketball and cricket matches to iOS and Android phones for free.

I love the streaming on the Bet365 app but I just wish they'd show the odd Premier League or Champions League on the app also.

Paddy Power have stared streaming live horse racing from South America, Dubai and South Africa to their iOS devices. I don't think any of their competitors are offering this service yet which should further consolidate their position as the most popular mobile bookmaker app in the United Kingdom.

Well according to this recently released report William-Hill are the most popular iPhone bookmaker is the United Kingdom. Even though their app is installed on more iOS devices than any other mobile bookmaker, the report does point out that the Bet365 app is used more regularly than other apps. It appears the WH have an advantage in that they are a well established brand with betting shops on every highstreet so iPhone/iPad users initially download their sportsbook app. However, once iOS users try the Bet365 app, it becomes their app of preference.

This may have something to do with the fact that you can watch live streams of soccer, tennis, golf, darts, NBA basketball and more for free on any iOS or Android device once you have a funded account. WH also do not offer a sign-up bonus, while Bet365 give their customers up to £200 in free bets. For full details visit www.bet365.com

Do any of the United States bookmaker apps stream live video of NBA basketball or NFL football games? I'll happily place a bet if I can watch my favorite team play on my iPhone 5.

At the moment we are not aware of any United States friendly sports betting apps that streams NBA, NFL or MLB games. Most of the US online bookmakers are based offshore so they would not able able to secure broadcasting right for football, baseball or basketball games. If you have an iPhone, you can watch highlights of many games via the ESPN SportsCenter app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/espn-sportscenter/id317469184?mt=8

If you are based outside the USA then you can watch live steams of major sporting events via the Bet365 iPhone or Android apps http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/bet365-mobile.html

If you are a fan of Spanish soccer you can now watch La Liga games for free on any smartphone or tablet via SkyBet http://forums.iphonebettingapps.com...ames-free-to-iPhone-Android-amp-Windows-Phone

In response to the live Spanish and European Championship soccer streams being offered by Bet365 and Sky Bet, Ladbrokes have now updated their iPhone and Android bookmaker app to also stream live soccer matches from Serie A in Italy. Read this discussion thread for instructions on how to watch soccer giants like Inter Milan and Juvenus play on your smartphone.

US-based sports bettors may be interested to hear that BetOnline how accept Bitcoin as a payment method. You can now fund your account or withdraw your winning using Bitcoin at the US internet sportsbook.

personally i'm a fan of both cloudbet and betcoin. both their apps work great on my iphone 6s and the odds are often better than those offered by major sportsbooks. not having to jump hoops when you want to make a withdrawals is also a huge bonus.

Yes. For sports betting on major leagues like the NFL and NBA I find myself using it more and more. For in-play betting I still favour bookmakers like 5Dimes and Bovada.
