Well it shouldn't come as too much of a shock to anyone on this forum, but before Christmas Ladbrokes conducted a pretty unscientific study which revealed that their customers who used the iOS smartphone were cleverer than their BlackBerry, Windows Phone or Android counterparts. Whatever about Android and Windows Phone users, anyone who buys a BlackBerry at this stage must be a little mentally challenged. Here is how the various smartphone users who took the intelligence test were ranked... iPhone Google Nexus Samsung Galaxy HTC Nokia Our friends in Cupertino must also be celebrating some very strong Christmas sales which saw the iPhone 5S outselling the Samsung Galaxy over the holiday period.
It's funny there is no sign of BlackBerry in the top 5 considering they seem to primarily used by business users these days. Surly they would be far smarter than the average Angry Bird iPhone gamer.....
Most BlackBerry users still seem to be using those weird plastic QWERTY keyboards which probably slowed down how quickly they could answer the questions.
Why are Ladbrokes wasting their money doing these studies? It's little wondering the companies profits are falling every year.
Has the Ladbrokes app improved over the last couple of years? They had a betting shop close to my house that I used to go to every Saturday so naturally when I got my first smartphone I downloaded their app first. I persevered with it for about 3 months until my mates showed me how much better the Paddy Power and William Hill apps were. I still have the same iPhone 3GS but I don't think I've used the Ladbrokes app in about 2 years. What a piece of crap it was.
Hey Tassie, we don't feature the Ladbrokes app in our sports betting section because it's not as good as what's on offer from either Bet365 (Full Review) or PaddyPower (Full Review). The Ladbrokes betting app has improved over the past couple of years but so have their competitors apps so they still have a bit of work to do to catch up. Here is our list of the best UK and USA sports betting apps http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/sports-betting.html
this survey is kinda ironic because anyone who uses any of the ladbrokes mobile products obviously isn't the smartest. their apps are terrible.
The iPhone is the most expensive smartphone so it stands to reason that it is going to be bought by the most affluent and best educated people in society so I'm not terribly surprised by this survey.
