Facebook and 888 have teamed up in an effort to convert the millions of Facebook users who currently play games on the social network into real-money players. 888 are developing a range of cash game bingo, poker, slots and casino games for the social network. The new games will be launched in 2013 and Facebook are expected to allow stakes for up to £500 with potential winning expected to top £10,000. Neither Facebook or 888 revealved whether they would also be developing iPhone and iPad compatible gambling apps that could be integrated into the Facebook app.
Paddy Power will be offering the first facebook bookmaker app this summer which should be interesting also.
Does anybody know if any other bookmakers have launched similar Facebook betting apps like Paddy Power? Their app has some pretty cool features like the ability to see you friends bets, losses and wins which could be pretty entertaining. You can also create a leader-board with your mates so you can keep an eye on who's making money and who's loosing their shirts. To encourage their customers to use and share their betting information, PP offer awards for betting, following, chatting and more. These awards can later be unlocked as free bets.
Now that Facebook have bought Oculus Rift I wonder will online gambling companies like 888 be developing virtual casinos and poker rooms that users will be able to immerse themselves into?
there will definitely be virtual reality casinos and poker rooms in the near future. pkr already offer a 3d poker playing environment so it's only a matter of time before this Oculus Rift is used to create something even more virtual.
A few months ago 888 pulled their Magic888 Casino app from Facebook. This is bad news for anyone that was hoping real-money gambling would flourish on the social network. According to 888's Chief Operational Officer the casino games were removed because they were not performing strongly. The good news is they have left their Bingo Appy on Facebook as it has been performing well since its launch.
have they released any apps for wearable devices like the apple watch or samsung galaxy gear? since google glass has been "retired" i presume nobody is developing gambling apps for that.
