Things just keep getting better for mobile poker players in the United States. Just a few weeks ago we reported that CarbonPoker had added Sit & Go tournaments to their already excellent US friendly poker app. Now Bovada, one of the biggest names in US online poker have also released their very own real money poker app that is compatible with iPhone, Windows Phone Nokia Lumia, BlackBerry and Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5. The app is web based so all you need to do is create a new player account at Bovada to start playing poker on your smartphone.

We haven't had a chance to fully test the app yet but here are a few things we can tell you right now.

    BOVADA U.S.A. MOBILE POKER - WWW.BOVADA.LV
    • Mobile Texas Hold'em and Omaha games are available.
    • Bovada poker is a web app so you won't find it in the iTunes App Store.
    • Games are available in the Bodog Zone fast-fold poker format.
    • Choose between play for fun or cash games on your mobile device.
    • The poker app works on most iOS devices, including the iPad or iPhone 4 and up.
    • An integrated mobile cashier means you can deposit or cash out from your phone.
    • New Bodog and Bovada players are entitled to a $1,000 deposit bonus.

Bovada and Bodog are basically identical sites that offer online /mobile sports betting, poker and casino games. Bovada cater solely for residents of 48 U.S. states, while Bodog offers the same service to the rest of the world. Their online poker room has grown exceptionally fast due to their soft games and quick and easy financial transactions. You won't need to jump through hoops at Bovada just to deposit a few dollars or withdraw your winnings.

We're always eager to get your opinion on the latest US mobile poker sites so please let us know what you think of the new app.

Really nice app if you're looking to play Omaha or Holdem cash games on your iPhone or Droid in the US. Hopefully they'll add tournaments in the near future.

Good news for U.S. and Canadian poker players wanting to play regular speed cash games on their iPhone or iPad. Following the latest software update, mobile poker players at Bovada and Bodog can now enjoy Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi/Lo games on their smartphones and tablets.

i really like the new bovada poker app but it's a shame that they only allow real money players from the united states and canada. the tables are still always busy at the lower stakes but occasionally i have trouble finding players at the high-stakes tables.

doesn't anyone know if they'll be opening up the games to players in other countries soon?

I'm sure Bovada and Bodog would love to offer their poker apps in other countries like the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia, but this might cause legal problems since they only have gaming licenses to operate in the U.S. and Canada. We may see other sites with .co.uk and .eu extensions appearing to satisfy the demands of mobile poker players in others countries.

Bovada have updated their poker app so you can now control your bankroll from the app. Both the Bovada and Bodog mobile poker sites have a cashier option that lets you deposit funds or cash-out your winnings without having to leave the app.

What about bitcoin as a banking method? I used to play at SealWithClubs but now that they've closed I'm looking for a new US/bitcoin friendly internet poker room.

SealsWithClubs have reopened under new management and a new domain at SwCPoker.eu. The good news is the latest version of their poker client has rectified the security issues that caused the original poker room to close. The bad news is the software is currently only available for PC's. All going well I'm sure they'll reintroduce the Android poker client and hopefully an iOS version too in the near future.

Until then the only Bitcoin friendly poker app that I'm aware of is SwitchPoker.

BetOnline who are a US facing online sportsbook and poker room recently added Bitcoin to their list of accepted payment methods. Sadly they don't yet have an app but you feel like playing Bitcoin poker on your Mac or PC in the US then they're a good option.

does mbit get much poker traffic? i'd like to start playing bitcoin poker but so few people use bitcoin there's probably not a lot of action at the tables.

Unlike many of bitcoin poker sites out there, mBit is actually part of medium traffic InstaDeal poker network so you'll find plenty of action regardless of whether you want to play tournaments to cash games.

I like the Bovada poker app but it's a shame you can only play at one table at a time. They need to add multi-tabling if they want me to play more on my iPad.

Both Bovada and Bodog have removed online poker from their website. Thankfully it's just been rebranded as Ignition Casino Poker and they still support real money poker on Android/iOS.

If you live in the United States of America then Ignition/Bovada is no longer the only option for playing mobile poker. The new Betonline Android/iPhone poker app is more advanced and offers tournaments as well as just regular Holdem and Omaha cash games. Real money poker players from the US are accepted.

Bovada, Bodog and Ignition Casino have finally upgraded their mobile poker client to include tournaments. Up until recently you could only play Hold'em and Omaha cash games but they have now added a variety of Sit & Go tournaments also. They greatly improves the Bovada poker app that is currently available in the United States and Latin American countries like Brazil, Peru and Argentina. https://forums.iphonebettingapps.com/threads/united-states-bovada-poker-app-add-tournaments.970/
