    EDITORS UPDATE - PLEASE READ

Due to banking issues at Carbon, players are reporting waiting times of many months to withdraw their money. For this reason we recommend that U.S. players find a different poker app until the problem is fixed.

Bodog/Bovada welcome United States and Canadian iPhone and Android poker players. They have a flawless record when it comes to prompt payments and their poker app supports fast fold poker as well as Hold'em and Omaha cash games on smartphones and tablets.

Download the US-friendly poker app at BetOnline mobile poker.

The really big news is the poker app will be available to poker players in the United States. The new Carbon App app will be web based which means that they don't need to get approval from Apple to get it listed in their iTunes App Store.

Wow, great news. I love playing my Zynga and my World Series of Poker apps but you can't beat playing at cash tables. Does anyone have anymore information on this? How long do Carbon Poker expect this final round of testing to take?

PokerStars, Full Tilt and Party Poker must be looking on enviously at this. Carbon Poker is going to see their player base quadruple overnight if they can produce a decent iOS app for poker players in the United States.

I think a lot of non United States players will welcome this also. Poker rooms with a large U.S. player base tend to have quiet a few poker fish. I can see lots of PokerStars and PartyPoker mobile customers switching to Carbon Poker for the soft competition.

    Hi Pixie

Yes, Carbon Poker currently offer rakeback of up to 35%. Hopefully this will also apply to their mobile client but I imagine it will.

It's great that United States players can now enjoy cash games on their iOS phones and tablets but is there any time frame yet on when either Sit and Go or Multi Table tournaments will be available. Some freerolls would be nice also.

Although the ring games work perfectly when we tested them on the iPhone and iPad, Carbon are still Beta testing their mobile client for Android and Windows phones and tablets. I'm sure once any compatibility issues have been resolved with the regular games, they will switch their focus to MTT and Sit&Go tournaments.

Bovada Poker have finally officially released their U.S. friendly mobile client. On their homepage you are now greeted by the tagline "Every hand, Every Device" and "Play Poker On the Go".

It may also be of interest to United States gamers that Carbon also offers a variety of real-money mobile casino games that can be played on any Windows Phone, Blackberry 10, Android or iPhone device. These games include slots, blackjack, three card poker, casino texas hold'em, roulette, caribbean stud, jack or better and many more.

Can you provide a like to the iTunes App Store so I can download this? I live in California now and I can't find any of these real money iPhone casinos.

You won't find the Bovada Poker app in the iPhone App Store in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago or any other U.S. city because it is browser based. Regardless of where you are living, you will need to first visit their website to create an account with them. If you are using an iPhone or iPad then launch the Safari browser and enter their address to start playing. You can create a shortcut to add the web app to your phone or tablets home screen for easy access later. If you are using an Android (Samsung Galaxy, HTC One, Motorola Droid, Google Nexus etc.) or Nokai Lumia Windows Phone then just follow the same steps.

I was a bit skeptical about how well a web app would play compared to a native poker app that you would download from the Apple App Store but I've been pleasantly surprised. I've been using the Carbon Poker app for about a month now and I haven't experienced any lag while I'm playing and the buttons and controls are extremely responsive.

In our experience there is virtually no difference in the speed, graphics or performance of native or web poker apps these days. Modern smartphones are incredibly powerful thanks to their high speed processors and 3G/4G/LTE network speeds have improved considerably.

Carbon Mobile currently offer No Limit Hold’em and Limit Hold’em games (at stakes ranging from $0.05/$0.10 to $0.10/$1.00). Any idea if they'll be adding new variants to their app?

This is great news. Given that the smartphone was invested in the USA it's ludicrous that we've had to wait this long to be able to play real-money mobile tournaments. So how do I register for a tournament on my iPhone 5S?
