Hi all, does anyone know of any apps offering horseracing info for the uk? I don't mean the big firms ruk, racingpost etc but rather independent sources. Thanks in advance.
Hi Hooter8 Have you tried the new OLBG sports tipping app? It provides betting tips on all United Kingdom and Irish horse races. You can download it free from the iTunes App Store here - OLBG Sports Tipping App The app also provides tips and advice on a wide range of sports including football, tennis, golf and many others. Best of Luck Seb
Stan James also put together a nice selection of dailys Naps that are viewable from mobile devices here http://nagme.stanjames.com/napsandtips It includes tips from most of the UK and Ireland's newspapers, including the Irish Independnet, The Irish Times, Daily Mirror, The Sun, The Telegraph, The Times, The Racing Post, The Guardian, The Express and many more.
The Racing U.K. app for the iphone offers some decent betting tips. It's pretty similar to the Racing Post app. They offer computer generated tips and and a verdict section that is written by their own tipsters. The app is free unless you want to watch live horse racing https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/racing-uk/id352776768?mt=8
For Australian horse racing tips I would recommend the following free apps (you will need to set-up an Australian iTunes account to install them) Racing Network - This apps offering racing tips, forms guides, race summaries, news and live video for all Victorian & Sydney racing. https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/racing-network-official/id554578934?mt=8 Sky Racing - This is a great free app for all Australian racing fans. Besides the usual racing form, news and replays, it also offers a pretty good tips section and a race predictor. https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/sky-racing/id570133214?mt=8
Thanks for those Australian horse race tipping apps. Does anyone know a quick way to set-up an Australian iTunes account so we can download these to our iPhone or iPad?
First off you should make sure that there is no geo location lock on the app you want to download before you go to the trouble of setting up an Australian iTunes account. If the app needs to verify its location before it will activate, then there is no point in downloading it if you are living outside of Australia. Anyway, this is how I would create an Aussie, UK, US etc iTunes account. How to Set-Up an Australian iTunes Account 1. Connect to the app store you would like to download from without signing in to iTunes. 2. Find a free app to download (for example the BBC iPlayer in the UK) 3. Create your Australian, UK or USA iTunes account. Because you are trying to download a free app, iTunes will not force you to supply a credit card.
If these apps have some kind of geolocation lock, can I just use a VPN like Hide My Ass or Tunnelbear to get them to work?
No, VPN's are useful for watching Netflix, BBC iPlayer and HULU etc but I don't think they work for iTunes real money gambling apps. I think the geolocation locks use GPS rather than an IP address to determine your location. May mobile betting sites like www.bet365.com also offer web apps that are identical to the versions you download from the iTunes App Store. There are no restrictions to these and they work just as well, so in our opinion they are a better option.
This Paddy Power horse racing app has a pretty good betting tips section. Besides getting betting tips from the Racing Post, they also offer exclusive betting tips from well known jockeys and horse racing insiders.
There's a brand new tipping and betting prediction app called "The Racing App" which can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or you can download the apk Android app directly from their website theracingapp.co.uk. This uses computer modelling and algorithms to quickly assess and pick the winners of each UK/Irish horse race. Tips are presented as 3D simulations to demonstrate how they think each race will pan out. According to their website they have a 30% success over the first 6 months of the app. Here's a link to the iPhone version https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/the_racing_app/id934823704?mt=8
There is a new horse racing tipping app called iForm Guide that is free to download if you have an iPhone or Android device. The Windows Phone web-apps works just as great. I found a full review of the app with a video demo here http://www.mobilehorseracing.co.uk/iform-racing-tips-app.html
Didn't know their is an app you can use on iphone. I only visit some tipping site using mobile web. I know some tipping site is not mobile friendly but I still get what I needed.
