Now that online poker is legal in New Jersey, it's citizens can now download the Party Poker iPhone and iPad app from the iTunes App Store here - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/partypoker-nj/id747848909?l=de&ls=1&mt=8

PartyPoker were granted a gambling license by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement board. PokerStars weren't as lucky, they failed to win a license and had their application suspended for 2 years.

The PartyPoker iOS app New Jersey poker players the chance to play Texas Hold’em cash games and fastforward high-speed poker on their Apple smartphones and tablets.

The question on everyone's lips now is which US state will be next to legalize online and mobile gambling in 2014?

The 888 iPhone and iPad apps have been available in New Jersey since the beginning of December. This was the first real money poker app to be approved by Apple in the United States.

Here is a link to the New Jersey iOS poker app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/888-poker-usa-real-money-poker/id731924439?mt=8

Apparently an Android version will be available shortly once they've been granted a license by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

So I'm guessing there won't be any restrictions on New Jersey players who want to make deposits or withdrawals either from their bank accounts or credit cards?

No, these poker apps will be perfectly legit within New Jersey so you shouldn't have any problems making a deposit or a withdrawal.

We have heard that the geo-location activation feature on the app might be a little too sensitive. There have been reports of players apps being deactivated because they got a little bit too close to the New Jersey state border.

Both Betfair and Ultimate Gaming have decide to close the doors to their online poker operations in New Jersey. It seems that the potential player pool in the states simply isn't big enough to support more than one or two rooms. The huge tax revenue windfall expected to be generated from online gambling has simply not materialised. The failure of regulated online poker in New Jersey could be the beginning of the end for legal online poker sites in the United States.

is there any truth to the rumor that full tilt poker will soon be launching in the united states?

No. A message accidentally displayed in their app stating that they would be returning to the US but they later clarified that this was an error.

The PokerStars CEO has announced that he expect PokerStars to be available in the US sometime in the 2015. Before you get too excited, they will only have a license to operate in New Jersey so that PokerStars app will only be playable within NJ.

PartyPoker have been busy updating their US-friendly poker app over the past few months. With PokerStars entering the U.S. online poker market in the near future, Party needed to seriously up their mobile poker software if they hope to compete. Improvements include...
    • Full mobile access to the full range of Texas Hold'em cash games, Schedule Tournaments and Sit N Go tournaments that are available on the desktop site.
    • Automatically re-join a tournament if you get disconnected or the app crashes.
    • Elimination of most geo-location errors.

If you are having problems with your credit card getting declined you can now also fund your Party account in the United States using the 7-Eleven Pay Near Me service.

I predict more and more U.S. poker players will start playing at bitcoin poker rooms because dealing with all the federal governments internet gambling rules and regulations have become too onerous and stupid.
