I found this article recently that lists some of the best poker app for improving your Texas Hold'em game http://www.ipadpokerapps.net/ipad-poker-tutorials.html Most of the app are free which is pretty sweet. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any other poker tutorial apps, for either Android or iOS? I already know how to play poker so I'm looking for strategy app or schools to help more advanced players increase their skill level. Any ideas?
Here are a few of my favorites... Poker Odds Teacher ($0.99) - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/poker-odds-teacher/id308077124?mt=8 I like this one because it teaches you how to quickly calculate odds in your head which is an essential skill if you want to make money playing poker. Poker USA - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/poker-usa/id593659573?mt=8 This is a great free app that tests just how good a poker player you are by giving you realistic hand situations to see how you deal with them. It then gives you feedback to tell you how well you performed.
Can anyone recommend a few good poker strategy apps to help slightly more experienced players improve their game further?
If you're a beginner player we could recommend you play at beginners tables at Bet365. New poker players are Bet365 can play at the beginners tables for up to 90 days after registering. This ensures that there are mostly new and inexperienced players playing here so you have a chance to improve your skills with other players at your level before you move onto the regular cash tables. Bet365 Poker have also released a mobile poker client that we reviewed here.
This new Unibet poker app for iOS/Android tablets is pretty good for beginners because.... It let you change your players name/alias as often as you like to prevent sharks following you. The graphics and gameplay is fun and aimed at learner players. The app rewards you for achieving goals and completing missions that are designed to teach you the basics of online poker. Automatic seating means that experienced players cannot seek out fishy poker players.
If you live in the UK or Ireland then the SkyPoker app is a good place to learn poker because you can watch their strategy videos from the app. You can also improve your games by watching SkyPoker TV live from your phone or tablet.
you can also view the sky-poker strategy videos by visiting their youtube channel. most of them are quiet informative and will improve your game.
I've always felt that Zynga, JawFish Poker and other play-for-free apps were a poor places to learn poker. You are better off playing at the practice tables or a real money poker app because the quality of play is tighter and you learn more.
