Calvin Ayre founded Bodog, one of the first online sportsbooks, back in 1992. He played a huge part in developing the online gambling industry we know today and is highly respected amongst his peers. When someone of Ayre's stature makes predictions, people sit up and listen. Ayre has been a proponent of the digital currency bitcoin for a number of years now and his bookmaker Bodog allows players to both deposit and withdraw using the crypto-currency.

Every year Ayre makes predictions about the betting industry and 2017 is no different. This year he predicts that bitcoin will start to dominate the online gambling industry. This is mainly because BTC allows poker players and sports bettors to circumvent government attempts to block their financial transactions with gambling sites.

He also predicts that bitcoin casinos will continue to increase in popularity because the blockchain allows gamers to verify the fairness of every game. BTC casinos and poker rooms offers players a way to check that each roll of the dice or spin of the wheel has been totally random and that no cheating has taken place. This is a huge improvement over conventional online casinos where gamers simply had to put their faith in operator.

  2. Well Bitcoin has been gaining a lot of user lately. Most player preferred to use bitcoin for making deposits and withdrawals. It is much easier to process and for casinos they are getting attracted offering bitcoin as one of their accepted form of payments.

Even though the UK Gambling Commission now permits gambling operators to accept bitcoin, it's interesting that none of the major UK bookmakers have added it yet. Right now the demand is obviously coming from countries like the United States payments to and from offshore gambling sites are blocked.

So, how to get access to those blocked sites then. There must be some way out.
