Forget the Olympics, the NBA playoffs, the European Championships and the return of Tiger Woods. The greatest sporting event of this summer is as always the Wimbledon tennis tournament. For me the summer doesn't really start until we see greats like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer or Venus Williams take to centre court. There must be plently of great iphone and ipad apps out there to further enhance the Wimbledon experience. Any hints or tips guys? Also, are any of the mobile sportsbook offering any free bets to coincide with the world's greatest tennis tournament?
The All England Lawn Tennis Club which runs the Wimbledon Tennis Championships offer a free app that you may enjoy. The app offers live scores and results from Wimbledon, a schedule of games, Wimbledon tennis news, profiles of all of this years players and the usual multimedia stuff like photos and video interviews, highlights and previews. It's a shame Venus Williams has been knocked out so eary
In terms of betting I think Paddy Power is your best option. They are running some pretty generous betting specials for the Wimbledon Tennis tournament, plus you can watch the tennis from your phone via the iphone app. I'm looking forward to seeing Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova play today.
For a bit of fun I download the "Sound of Wimbledon" For just £0.59 you can listen to Federer, Murray or Sharapova grunting to your hearts content. Of course you can also listen to John McEnroe whine and complain whenever you like also.
It's almost Wimbledon tennis time again. Can't wait. Will I be able to watch a live stream on Wimbledon 2013 on my iPhone or Android tablet for free?
Hey Cahill If you want to watch the Wimbledon Tennis tournament live on your iPhone or iPad then you should definitely check out FilmOn. It's a free app that streams BBC to smartphones so you won't miss any of the action from centre court. There's also an Android version. Seb
that is quiet possibly the weirdest app i've every come across. why would you want to hear replays of grunts from harapova, Seles, Venus Williams, Roddick, Murray and Roger Federer? i guess it takes all sorts. here is the link https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/sounds-of-wimbledon/id378331836?mt=8
Bet365 live streams ATP tennis matches on a regular basis so I'm guessing they'll also live stream The French Open and Wimbledon Tennis championships. Here's how to install and setup the live streams http://www.iphonebettingapps.com/bet365-mobile.html
